Who we are
MailTester.com is operated by Edustria V.O.F., H. Consciencestraat 40, 8600 Beerst, Belgium (“MailTester”, “we”). This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to the marketing website and the MailTester application.
Data you give us
Account data: your name, email address and billing details when you create an account or purchase credits.
Verification data: the email addresses and lists you submit for verification. This data is processed solely to produce your verification results. We never sell it, share it with third parties for marketing, or use it to build our own lists.
Communications: messages you send to support or the team.
Data we collect automatically
Usage data such as pages visited, features used and approximate location derived from IP address, used to operate and improve the service.
Technical data including browser type, device information, and cookies and similar tracking technologies (like web beacons and pixels) necessary for authentication and preferences.
How long we keep it
No purpose in this policy requires keeping your personal information for longer than 2 years. Uploaded lists and verification results are deleted permanently when you delete them, close your account, or per your retention settings — whichever comes first.
Account and billing records are retained as required by tax and accounting law.
Sharing with service providers
We share data with service providers only as needed to operate MailTester: payment processors, hosting providers, data analysis vendors, email delivery services and customer service tooling. Each is bound to process the data only on our instructions.
Your rights
You may access, correct, export or delete your personal data at any time from your account settings or by contacting us. Users in the European Economic Area have the rights provided by the GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure and data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
We respond to data requests within 30 days. A Data Processing Agreement is available to all customers.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is restricted to personnel who need it to operate the service, and all access is logged.
Third-party websites
Our website and application may link to third-party sites and services. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices — review their policies before providing data to them.
Minors
MailTester is a business tool. We do not knowingly collect data from or market to anyone under 18 years of age. If you believe a minor has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Do-Not-Track signals
No uniform technology standard for recognizing Do-Not-Track browser signals has been finalized, and we do not currently respond to them. If a standard is adopted, we will update this policy and our practices.
California privacy rights
California residents have specific rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information. Submit requests via the contact below.
Google API compliance
Where MailTester accesses data via Google APIs, its use and transfer of that data adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Updates to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The revised version is effective as of the “last updated” date above; material changes will be highlighted on this page or announced by email.
