BIMI
Also called: Brand Indicators for Message Identification
A DNS record letting a domain owner publish a brand logo for mailbox providers to display beside authenticated messages. BIMI is an IETF Internet-Draft, not a published RFC.
In plain terms
The standard behind your logo appearing next to your name in the inbox.
Why it matters for deliverability
BIMI requires DMARC at enforcement, so it is less a feature than a reward for having finished your authentication work. It is also worth knowing it is still a draft rather than a ratified standard.
What to do about it
- Reach DMARC quarantine or reject first — BIMI will not work without it.
- Prepare an SVG Tiny PS logo; other formats are not accepted.
- Check each provider's requirements separately, since support and rules vary.
